Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 September 2026
By using Inocreal you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
Most important: we do not verify anyone. We pass messages along; we do not check that a claimant is the real owner. Ask for proof before you hand anything over, and meet in a public place.
1. What Inocreal is
A free, public noticeboard for lost and found items. We host listings and relay messages between the person who posted an item and the person who thinks it is theirs. We are not a party to any arrangement you make, we take no custody of any item, and we charge nothing.
2. No accounts
There is no sign-up. A report is controlled by whoever holds the private link we email when it is posted. Keep that link to yourself — anyone with it can close your report.
3. What you may post
You may post about items that are genuinely lost or found. You may not post:
- Anything false, misleading, or intended to bait a response.
- Someone else's personal information — a photo of a found ID card, passport, or bank card showing readable details.
- Illegal, stolen, hazardous, or offensive content.
- Advertising, spam, or automated bulk submissions.
You keep ownership of what you post, and you grant us the right to display and store it so the service can work. We may remove any listing, at any time, without notice.
4. Claiming an item
When you send a claim, your message and your contact details go to the person who posted the item. Do not claim something that is not yours. Do not use the relay to send anything you would not want attached to your name.
5. Meeting in person
Any handover happens entirely between you and the other person, at your own risk. We strongly recommend a public place in daylight, telling someone where you are going, and asking for a specific detail only the true owner would know. Inocreal has no involvement in and no responsibility for what happens at a meeting.
6. No warranty
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee it will be available, that any item will be recovered, that any listing is truthful, or that any email will arrive. We are a small free project, not a courier or an insurer.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Inocreal is not liable for any loss, damage, theft, injury, or dispute arising from your use of the service, from any listing, or from any meeting arranged through it.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service means you accept the current version.
